Eddie Murphy - Delirious video

Delirious is a stand-up show whose main character is Eddie Murphy, produced by the comedian himself and directed by Bruce Gowers. Eddie Murphy Delirious Video appeared in 1983, being recorded in Washington but it was released on DVD in 6th February 2007. Along with the well known comedian Eddie Murphy, in Delirious also act some other actors: James Argiro, Gus Loundermon, Brian O'Neal and Kevin O'Neal.

Delirious is a documentary/comedy in which one can watch Eddie Murphy bringing his comedy act in his own vulgarly hilarious fashion, picking on subjects such as sexual orientation, puberty, dating, mothers and discipline, the personality of important singers, going as far as joking about ice cream trucks. The show is one of the most successful of Murphy’s performances, the great number of tickets being immediately sold-out.

Eddie Murphy Delirious Video is not a classical stand-up comedy, but rather another genius sparkle of Eddie Murphy and co. The show, as it is mentioned, is strictly for adults and it's not recommended for people who dislike foul language to watch, because, in his particular video, Delirious, only the word "f**k" is used more than 200 times, and it’s counterpart, "s**t" more than 100 times.

Eddie Murphy provides in Delirious memorable remarks, most of which are "stolen". You may often get the impression, while watching other videos that some jokes are Murphy's characteristic, of him and of his own stand-up comedy style. Eddie Murphy is provocative, thoughtful, original, and more important, he is funny, a true comedian building worthy comedy to listen and watch.

Eddie Murphy Delirious stand-up comedy video had a bad reputation for its characterization of a homosexual Mr. T, and for the portrayal of Ralph Kramden and Ed Norton as a gay couple. Although this routine was applauded by the audience, Eddie Murphy retracted his comments several years later.

Eddie Murphy Delirious is also well known for the jokes about the voice and lyrics of James Brown, for the comments on Mick Jagger's lips, for his impression on Stevie Wonder, for imitating Elvis Presley's gait in his late years and also for impersonating Michael Jackson with reference to his emotional sensitivity. In Eddie Murphy Delirious, the comedian makes a parody of Desi Arnaz (Ricky Ricardo) from the show, "I Love Lucy". As a response to Murphy’s jokes, James Brown towards the end of his album track, yells out, "Eddie Murphy eat your heart out". The public breaks up with laughter and gives him a standing ovation.

Eddie Murphy Delirious was released on Region 1 DVD in February 2007 and on Region 2 DVD on March 2007. Nowadays, Eddie Murphy is regarded as old, boring maybe, but seriously, who can say that he didn’t laugh, or is still laughing while watching at least a movie in which he acts? Murphy was the King of comedy just as Michael Jackson was the King of pop music. He was needed, his shows and videos are, and to watch him is never a burden.

So definitely purchase and watch Eddie Murphy’s Delirious video, because that’s a part of his legacy and it’s sure worth a try. I know you won’t regret it!
