In these times, there are more and more homeless animals on the streets and more of them at shelters, waiting to be adopted. But the population must be educated first on how to take care of a pet in order to prevent the number of stray animals to grow. This is what Ration Animal organization is fighting for. But they don’t fight alone. They have a team of top class stand up comedians to help them.
On July 26, at New York's Gotham Comedy Club, five famous stand up comedians are going to perform to raise money for the animals in the shelters. Jon Fisch (Last Comic Standing), Marina Franklin (Chappelle's Show), Christian Finnegan (VH1's "Best Week Ever"), Jeff Caldwell (Late Show with David Letterman), and Michele Balan (Last Comic Standing) are going to benefit for the non profit welfare organization. The stand up comedians try to give a hand to raise awareness in this matter.
The event starts at 7 p.m. with Cocktail Hour, Shopping, Mix'n'Mingle and at 8 p.m. the stand up comedy show begins. The Rational Animal foundation often make campaigns advocating for adoption, spay/neuter, and responsible pet guardianship and this is yet another project expected to have some sort of an impact on people.
