Ricky Gervais is planning Life's Too Short film

Ricky Gervais is already planning a film of his TV show Life's Too Short.

British comedian Ricky Gervais has revealed that there may eventually be a film version of his new forthcoming sitcom Life's Too Short.

The comedy series Life's Too Short centre on Warwick Davis' day-to-day life as a dwarf actor.

The sitcom is written by Ricky Gervais and his co-writer from The Office and Extras, Stephen Merchant, who will also appear in cameo.

The sitcom will air on BBC Two and was described as being similar to "Curb Your Enthusiasm": "It's about his life - the life of a showbiz dwarf. He plays himself, we play ourselves, it's sort of like Curb Your Enthusiasm." - said Ricky Gervais.

Asked if they were planning any future film projects, Ricky Gervais said "We want to do another one. Maybe we can do a film of Life's Too Short.", but Stephen Merchant was more discreet: "Let's see how the series goes. Let's not get carried away,".

It seems that there is a communication problem between them, because Gervais continued "Let's have it ready in case it's a success. Always plan for success."

Life's Too Short film would follow Gervais and Merchant's first film Cemetery Junction, based on their lives growing up in Reading.

Cemetery Junction was released in UK in April 2010, having positive reviews and will be released on DVD on August 30.
