Mitch Hedberg to be honoured at Paramount Theatre

On August 12, Mitch Hedberg's widow Lynn Shawcroft and his parents Arne and Mary Hedberg will appear on stage at he Paramount Theatre, in Anderson, Indiana, during the event created to honour the talented comedian that was Mitch Hedberg.

The proceeds from this event will be donated to a drug rehabilitation program founded by the Hedbergs, called Minnesota Teen Challenge, but also to Paramount Slick Music Studio Open Jam.

Some of the money is also going to keep an open mic going at the theater, stated Lynn Shawcroft. I think that's something that Mitch would've loved, money going back into the art of stand-up".

Tickets $15 in advance, $18 day of show are kept at a low price, because Mitch Hedberg always said that he wanted his performances to be available to the guy who didn't have very much money.

The event will begin with a screening of Mitch Hedberg's 1999 comedy "Los Enchiladas", continuing with a never seen before stand up and off-stage footage, followed by Mitch Hedberg's 2002 pilot for "Saddle Rush" animated series, on which the comedian's voice was futured.

There isl also going to be a Q & A session with Mitch Hedberg's widow and parents, that will take place after the program.

Mitch Hedberg, was a very talented comedian, known for his unique delivery and a short career, highlighted by appearances on "Late Show With David Letterman", before he died in 2005, at 37 years old, of a drug overdose.
