FXX will launch new shows this September and an animated series is in the works

FX announced earlier, in March, their new network FXX. Now they come with another announcement this time about the sows. With “Brand X” show canceled, the network will have another Russell Brand feature and new animated series “Chozen” with Danny McBride, Jody Hill and David Gordon Green.

Chozen is about a white gay rapper recently released from prison where he discovered new skills. Now, he wants to put them to work.

Grant Dekernion, who was the writer’s assistant on the newly cancelled “Eastbound & Down”, will write and rap for the series. Bobby Moynihan of Saturday Night Live will voice the main character. Along with Moynihan, Hannibal Buress, Michael Pena, Nick Swardson, and Method Man will join the cast. Chozen will premiere next spring.

Other shows to come on FXX are “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”, “The League”, and “Legit”. “Totally Biased” with W. Kamau Bell will be the network’s late night show.
