FX has renewed Louie for a second season

The FX network has renewed Louis C.K.'s series, Louie, for a second season, as the general manager John Landgraf announced.

The network ordered 13 more episodes for the 2011 summer and the announcement was kind of big due to the fact that the first season isn't over yet.

But the FX president John Landgraf seems to believe in the well-known stand up comedian Louis C.K. since he stated that "Louis has made a truly original series -- a comedy unlike anything on television, but perfect for his unique voice."

Louie is created and produced by Louis C.K. and airs 11/10c on Tuesdays, having approximately 2.5 million viewers a week.

The renewal of C.K.'s Louie is part of John Landgraf plan to develope FX into the leader of the cable comedy networks and with Louie, Rescue Me, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and the League, it just might succeed.
