Springfield is bringing the queen of comedy this Saturday at City Stage and Symphony Hall. Caroline Rhea will close the Bud Light Stand Up Comedy Series with her Canadian humor delivering jokes from her no-end bag.
“The series is a great way to keep our venue busy, and people seem to be embracing the site for comedy. It’s also just an easy, fun and affordable night out in downtown Springfield,” said Tina D’Agostino, president of CityStage and Symphony Hall.

After six years, Bob Saget will release another comedy special on May 10 on Showtime. His last HBO work “That Ain’t Right” brought back the comedy veteran and former “Full House” star to the stage and now we get to watch him again and see if he still has it.
The show is called “That’s What I’m Talking About” and will follow Saget as he delivers brilliant classic jokes. He is currently on tour and working on a book which will be released by HarperCollins in 2014.

Sean Hughes received some good reviews for his “Life Becomes Noises” tour that he feels the need to hear more laughs so he adds new dates. The comedian will be coming to Rhodes in Bishop’s Stortford next month.

The third day of Moontower Comedy Festival brought together megastar comedians who entertained the audience with a bucket full of laughs.
IFC series “Maron” unveiled a sneak-peak screening followed by a Q&A, moderated by Matt Bearden. After that, Greg Fitzsimmons and Chris Hardwick dropped some magic comedy. Laughspin showcased their best performers: Chelsea Peretti, Michael Ian Black and Judah Friedlander.
The comedy kept on coming with Janeane Garofolo, Brian Posehn and Bill Burr. The Velveeta Room showed probably the best challenging show where contestants are challenged not to laugh. “Laugh, Dammit!” showed a panel of funny people, prizes and laughs for everyone. Judah Friedlander spent several minutes after the show to bond with his fans.
Pete Holmes couldn’t miss this one too so he was headlining a set at The Paris – a good show wich left you with some pains from all that laughter.
Kyle Kinane headlined The Scottish Rite Theater with Chip Pope, Dan St. Germain, Chris Hardwick and Michael Che. He got on stage, had the audience from the start and kept us along for the ride with some manic-depression jokes and finished big personifying Evan Williams whiskey and some of his favourite liquors.
Closing out the festival’s third evening were two iconic superstars: Brian Posehn and Janeane Garofalo.
We’re excided to see the last day of festival with Maria Bamford and a Mike Lawrence set.

Bristol’s biggest comedy festival returns this summer with four days of quality comedy. Queen Square will inaugurate Bristol Comedy Garden with Jonathan Creek and Alan Davies. Other comedy stars of the stage include Omid Djalili – the Iranian actor and comic and muti-award winning local comedian Mark Watson and Ed Byrne.

Kristen Wiig will return to her old home of "Saturday Night Live" to host the show on May 11. This will be the first time that Wiig has hosted "SNL" since ending her 7-season run on the show last year.
"SNL" executive producer Lorne Michaels named her as one of the "top three or four" cast members of all time. Her last episode, in which Mick Jagger serenaded her with "She's a Rainbow" as she danced with each cast member, was one of the most memorable moments on the show in recent years.

Top-notch performers like Reggie Watts, Maria Bamford, Greg Fitzsimmons and Todd Barry entertained the audience on the second day of the second annual Moontower Comedy Festival.
The shining stars were Dana Carvey (“Wayne’s World”). He had an all-time laughing performance from the beginning to the very end bringing George Bush Sr, Ross Perot and the Church Lady as well as Barak Obama impersonations on stage.
Closing out our second night on the town was the lovely boyish yet charismatic Amy Schumer. She gave s good portion of laugh with tales of shocking sex-capades and jaw-dropping witticisms. She sustained laughs after laughs after laughs proving once again her amazing stand-up skills.

Ray Romano admits he always knew he could make his friends laugh but never really gave stand-up comedy any serious thought until one fateful open-mic night at a New York comedy club in 1984. He did well, the bug bit hard and Romano was smitten. After various odd jobs, including working as a futon mattress delivery man and bank teller by day and comedian by night, he decided to leave the 9-to-5 ranks and pursue comedy full time.

Today, the Google Inc. - owned site announced the YouTube Comedy Week, a seven-day laugh trip who aims to showcase some of the best comedy on its video platform. David Koechner has signed on to star in a new half-hour comedy project. “Whitey” comes from A+E networks and will be produced by Leslie Gried. Koechner will star as Guy White “Whitey” – a conservative and serious yet frustrated guy struggling in his 40s to understand his country and the world. He spent his adult years being married to his high school sweetheart and working at a local engine factory until he was laid off. His unemployment status may be what causes him to open his eyes and look around at the state of the country.

D.L. Hughley and Michael Ian Black have signed to host the TBS series “Trust Me, I’m A Game Show Host” slated to premiere this fall.
“TRUST ME, I'M A GAME SHOW HOST” is the first game show in which two hosts duel to deceive contestants. Hughley and Black will present the single contestant with weird or embarrassing facts (one is true, the other isn’t). The contestant must choose the true fact to be rewarded in the game with a pocket full of cash.
