Chris Rock gets a new chance with a French movie, being set to translate La Premiere Etoile (The First Star).
The stand up comedian, better known for his stand up comedy albums: Kill the messenger, Never scared or Bigger and Blacker than for his movies, bought the rights for the French movie La Premiere Etoile.
Chris Rock is planning to write the English version and remake the movie for international audiences. La Premiere Etoile was a box-office hit in France in 2009, the main story being about a black working family.
This is Chris Rock's second chance with a French movie, after his shot from 2007 with I Think I Love My Wife, which was based on 1972 French film, Chloe in the Afternoon, by late moviemaker Eric Rohmer.
