Chris Kattan from SNL actor to stand up comedian

Chris Kattan has quit “Saturday Night Live” a long time ago and now he wants to embrace the stand-upcareer. It is quite ironic since the alum used to make fun of stand-up comedians during his SNL time.

"The main key is to have a lot of confidence and to act like you know what you're saying," Kattan said.

We still don’t know what made him follow this path and we don’t know yet if we can be happy or sad about this but, at least, we’re skeptical. He plays a four-night stand at Comedy Off Broadway in Lexington this week.

He wasn’t prepared to be a stand-up comic but he sure knows how to make us laugh. We hope that when he left SNL he didn’t left behind his humor too.

During his performances he also improves, talks about personal issues as any other comedian and puts a personal note talking about his father’s death – one of the original members of The Groundlings comedy troupe.

“I can't help but get involved with the audience all the time," Kattan said. "I have a way of not putting a wall between us. It still allows me to goof around when I want to,” he says.

This May, on 9th, 10th and 11th you can see him perform at Comedy Off Broadway, The Mall Lexington Green and 161 Lexington Green Cir.
