Britain's richest comedians. Peter Key is on top with £32.8 m in two years

As we previously said in another article, Britain is the right place to do stand up for a living. And what living!

If you thought that the football players and actors are the best paid jobs in Britain, you’re wrong. Stand-up comedians are coming to rival their salaries. U.K’s richest comedian is Peter Kay who has a profit of £32.8 million made in the past two years. The money comes from his DVD sales and live shows.

On the second place we have Michael McIntyre who earns £ 21m.

Open Mike’s Jack Dee made from his comedy shows £5.2 m. Also not included is Lee Evans, whose sales are thought to rival Peter Kay, but he does not channel his earnings through ¬companies.

The top is based on publicly available accounts.
