Louis C.K’s Lucky Louie

Stand up comedian Louis C.K. stared and created a sitcom called Lucky Louie in June 2006. Originally aired on HBO, the sitcom was about family life and Louis C.K. plays a part time mechanic- Louie. Lucky Louie was filmed before a live studio audience, in a multiple-camera setup, being a first for HBO.

The plot of the sitcom revoles around Louie, his wife and their four year old daughter, Lucy and tells the story of an unsophisticated working class familly. In Canada, Lucky Louie was shown on Movie Central, The Movie Network, and on The Comedy Network but in September 2006 HBO announced that the show had been canceled.

On January 30, 2007, Hbo released the entire series of Louis C.K.’s Lucky Louie sitcom. The DVD includes an unaired episode called “Clowntime is Over”, four commentaries and a sneak peak at the making of one episode.
