Nicole Lauren is an 8 year old comedienne from New Port Richey who plays volleyball, loves school and adores performing stand-up comedy routine.
She performs stand-up since she was only 5 and the spotlight is her home. Nicole is also a Mensa member. "I'm like a giant sponge. I soak up the laughter and I love all the attention, I beg mom and dad for it. I'm an only child," she said.
"I was on a cruise ship and on the cruise ships they have a kid's club that always does a talent show and everybody always does the same thing; they either sing or dance or hula hoop or jump rope. I thought -because I like to make people laugh- I wanted to do something different. I wanted to stand out amongst the crowd. Mom wrote up a joke routine and that's how I started out," the little girl added.
She performed at Broadway Comedy Club in New York City and Greenwich Village. Last year she was Florida’s favorite comedian and defeated adults in the 2012 Hudson Comedy Contest. This year she is probably the busiest 8 year-old in the world and she is preparing to become a comedian, actor, audio book narrator, voice over actress and stay-at-home mom.
