Comedian is Jimmy Carr’s stand-up comedy, directed by Dominic Brigstocke. The 151 minutes stand-up comedy has been released on the market on 5 November 2007, by the Channel 4 Studio.

Following the huge success of both stand-up comedies "Jimmy Carr Live" and "Jimmy Carr Stand-up", the multi-award-winning Jimmy Carr returns with his third live stand-up comedy DVD, Jimmy Carr - Comedian. The comedy performance is over an hour and a half long and has been recorded live at London's Bloomsbury theatre. On the top of the main show, the DVD contains almost an hour of exclusive bonus material.

The stand-up comedy contains some special sketches: Thumbing In A Softie (the stand-up comedian performs an exclusive half hour sketch show recorded specially for the DVD), Second Life (Coverage of Jimmy’s one-off Second Life gig, where he became the first major stand-up comedian to do a live gig in the virtual reality world), Soccer Six (Highlights from the Soccer Six charity football tournament where the stand-up comedian captained a team of misfits), Rubber Face Jimmy (Featuring Leigh Francis of Bo’ Selecta). The DVD contains also the stand-up comedian’s classic radio interviews with Chris Moyles and Steve Wright.

If you are a fun of the stand-up comedian, here he is really in his element. You will notice again his sharp comedy style. Once again, if you are easy to offend, this stand-up comedy is definitely not for you. The stand-up comedian delivers his punch lines in quick succession, meaning if one doesn't hit the mark, the next most likely will. The stand-up comedian makes jokes out of subjects like homosexuality, rape and child abuse. All subjects you may agree polarize people’s opinions. The stand-up comedian interacts with his audience like most of the time during his performances.

The stand-up comedian brings new material in this stand-up special, making this one of his best performance ever. The sketches where the stand-up comedian helps people with ideas of what to write in birthday/get well soon/good luck cards, how to fill in job applications and also answering Agony Aunt Letters in his unique way are worth watching.
