The comedy roast of Charlie Sheen video is a Comedy Central Production in witch, this year, Charlie Sheen is the victim of Roast Master Seth MacFarlane and other stars such as Jon Lovitz, Amy Schumer and previously roasted William Shatner. Guest appearances include Guns 'N Roses frontman Shlash. The lineup also includes Steve-O of Jackass and Mike Tyson.
The Comedy roast of Charlie Sheen video aired on the 19th of september 2011 and it made the star into a walking punchline. The roasters have had a tough task ahead of them because Charlie Sheen has been ridiculed a lot in the press and it was hard to find something fresh to say about him. But the boxer, the professional idiot and the two actors were well prepared and just roasted the hell out of Charlie Sheen!
This year, Comedy Central decided to roast Charlie Sheen using a Roman Empire theme because of the actors luxurious, yet decadent ways. The stage had columns all around, faux marble goddesses, models dressed up in togas and painted white. And also, a red carpet witch clashed with the white theme, on witch friends and fellow roasters walked on.
The location chosen for this event was at Sony Pictures Studios, in accordance with the Crazy Train theme. Charlie Sheen arrived on stage using a locomotive. Slash played (while Sheen was in the locomotive) the song "Train Kept A Rollin'". The people who attended waited to see Sheen being fed to the comics.
When asked about their friend, Charlie Sheen's close friends said that "He's fine. He's doing great". Spin City co-star Michael Boatman was caught saying: "Charlie's a teflon person. Things don't really bog him down. He just sort of lives in the moment and loves it.". Though, there was the occasional concern-comment: "From someone looking in and trying to be objective, it looked a little scary", said former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson.
Roastmaster: Seth MacFarlane: For the Comedy Roast of Charlie Sheen video, Seth MacFarlane, Family Guy, American Dad and The Cleveland Show creator was chosen. Thus, in keeping with his own sense of humor, the jokes got quite personal and real. Anyone watching either of the producer's shows knows that when Seth MacFarlane said that Charlie has "his own iPhone app. You type in your height, your weight, your date of birth, you answer a few questions about your personality, and then it shoots Kelly Preston." things were just getting started and things will get more and more personal along the way
Jon Lovitz used drugs for this roast: "How much blow can Charlie Sheen do? Enough to kill Two and a Half Men". Steve-O of Jackass ran across the room right into Mike Tyson's fist and did other stunts to pay tribute to Charlie Sheen. It appears that at the end he got a bloody nose and a black eye :).
Charlie, if you're winning, then something's wrong with the (expletive) scoreboard. If you're winning, then this must not be a child custody hearing. The only time your kids get to see you is in reruns. Don't you want to live to see their first 12 steps? - said Jeffrey Ross. He also picked on his ex-wives: Brook Mueller who was there. Ross said that Charlie Sheen's ex Denise Richards is "not very bright, unless Charlie's throwing a lamp at her".
Charlie Sheen got well prepared for his own roast. He had a dark suit on, with a white shirt and magenta tie. He coped well with the jokes and humiliation, laughing the whole time. Still a couple of times he dropped his jaw at what his roasters had to say about him. Still, he took it quite well and deserves our recognition for that. He did say before the show that nothing was off limits!
When he got on stage Charlie Sheen had this to say: "Once again, I have come out unscathed. You can't hurt me. Hell, I can't even hurt me". And to his roasters he remarked: "Drugs couldn't kill me. Sex couldn't kill me. The press couldn't kill me. Two and a Half Men couldn't kill me. Did you really think your jokes were going to hurt me?"
The Comedy Central executives asked Charlie Sheen to be apart of a new project and showed Charlie and his management team a whole Crazy Train marketing plan. The fact that the Two and a Half Men creator Chuck Lorre decided to kill off his character using a train is just the more better. Doug Herzog said that even that there are manna c-word, k-word and n-word references, only the "not funny" stuff will be left out. All else goes right in no matter the consequences.
Sponsors like Axe body spray and EA's FIFA Soccer 12 are very happy with the outcome of the Comedy Roast of Charlie Sheen Roast. Advertisers like Captain Morgan and Corona were left out since last year's Comedy Roast of David Hasselhoff. It wouldn't have been appropriate anyway because of Charlie Sheen's new image: clean and sober :)
