Stand Up for Heroes Benefit Gathers Top Comedians
On November 9, the Beacon Theatre will be filled with top class stand up comedians like Jim Gaffigan, Ricky Gervais, Bruce Springsteen, Jon Stewart, and the Max Weinberg Big Band. The event is called Stand Up for Heroes and it has as purpose to raise funds to help injured service members and their families as they return to their communities.
Stand Up for Heroes benefit is in the attention of leaders from business, entertainment and philanthropy and the performance will be transmitted to U.S. military troops on bases in Afghanistan and Iraq, as well as injured service members at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC. The event will be presented by The Bob Woodruff Foundation and The New York Comedy Festival.
