Through the whole of 2007, two of the best comedians, Dave Chappelle and Dane Cook faught over the endurance record at The Laugh Factory. The battle started on the 10th of April, when the stand up comedian Dane Cook broke the near-three hour (2 hours, 41 minutes) record set in 1980 by the great comedian Richard Pryor.
That day, Dane Cook performed 3 hours and 50 minutes of stand up comedy, but a few days later, Dave Chappelle eclipsed Dane Cook stand up record with an performance of 6 hours and 7 minutes.
Dave Chappelle didn't stop here. He came back at The Laugh Factory on 4th of December 2007 and broke his own stand up comedy record, performing for 6 hours and 12 minutes, 5 minutes longer than his previous record.
Looking at this like a challenge, Dane Cook returned to The Laugh Factory on midnight of 31st of December 2007 and performed until nearly 7 a.m., breaking Dave Chappelle's stand up endurance record and setting a new one, 7 hours. Will Dave Chappelle take the challenge again?
