Dane Cook invited the Motley Crue drummer, Tommy Lee, to collaborate on the comedian's next album. The news was given by the comedian himself in an interview for MTV. "I used to love Motley Crue growing up and he's a big fan of mine. I called him (Tommy Lee) the other day and I said 'Would you collaborate on this thing that I put together?", stated Dane Cook.
Dane Cook stated that he has been a longtime fan of Tommy Lee and the Motley Cruer and considered working with the rock star after learning that Tommy Lee was a fan of his comedy.
Dane Cook gave more details about their plan and stated that "It's actually very different than anything (Tommy's) done before. He's a sensational drummer. I would say this is a little bit in the Jack Johnson vein, a little bit funky, a little jazzy."
