Chris Rock is "selling" himself for the Journey for Change: Empowering Youth Through Global Service, a program started by the comedian's wife, Malaak Compton-Rock. In order to sustain the cause of Journey for Change, Chris Rock launched this new charity auction, the bid being a day with the comedian on the set of his new movie Death of A Funeral, in which he stars alongside Martin Lawrence.
The message from Chris Rock is so representative for him, half-serious, half-funny, cause he puts this nobel gesture under a funny light, when stated that his wife is making him say that: "Hey people. Journey for Change is a great cause. Not just because it is my wife's charity...well she is making me say this...but the kids from Brooklyn that she helps are kids that are just like me.
Someone helped me and I came out okay. Now we are trying to help them. So bid on the auction and come hang out with me on the set of my new movie Death of a Funeral." - Chris Rock.
The biding expires on May 8, 2009 and the winner will visit the set of Death of a Funeral, will receive a VIP tour of Sony Studios and also, autographed copy of the script, autographed copy of the day's filming schedule, autographed DVD and autographed book.
