Andy Parsons is a known British stand up comedian and writer who gained world’s acknowledgement trough his regular guest appearances on the Mock the Week TV show. The stand up comedian missed only five episodes of Mock the Week, keeping the same seat throughout the series, Parsons being the one to the left of the host Dara Ó Briain. He became a regular panelist at the beginning of Series 3.
The British topical celebrity panel game Mock the Week is hosted by Dara Ó Briain and had its debut on BBC Two on 5 June 2005 having 3.5 million viewers per episode. On the panel are two teams of three, currently consisting of Hugh Dennis and two guest panelists seated on Ó Briain's right, and Andy Parsons and two guest panelists on his left.
Mock the Week comedy show was created by Dan Patterson and Mark Leveson, who also created the comedy game show Whose Line Is It Anyway? The show's theme music is "News of the World" by The Jam.
